Syed Aman Ali is an international Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) expert with experience of working in the United States of America (U.S.), South and Southeast Asia. He is currently based in Myanmar where he heads the M & E and communications department of WorldFish, a subsidiary of CGIAR – world’s largest research consortium on agriculture. In his decade-long experience in M&E, evaluations, research, and communications, he led teams to transform programs and projects in various entities.  

Aman’s love for evaluation started in 2015, while serving at a provincial M&E ministry, he led evaluations of development projects across Pakistan. He is an active member of regional and global evaluation associations, he represented Pakistan as a delegate in evaluation conferences in Egypt, Greece, Mexico, Uganda, and Thailand, to name a few. The passion for evaluation has made him establish the Pakistan Evaluation Association (PEA) as a co-founder in 2017, to champion the cause of evaluation and promote greater transparency and accountability in Pakistan.

An Atlas Corps fellow, U.S., a yearlong residential leadership development program for mid-career social change agents, and an International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET) fellow Switzerland, largest evaluation community of the world. He secured an MPA where he was bestowed with a roll of honor and merit certificate, and an MBA with distinction from the top academic institutions in Pakistan. He enjoys travelling, reading books, writing, and loves conversations with people from different backgrounds.
